ABOUT US

The National Library of Uganda was established by an Act of Parliament in 2003, replacing the Public Libraries Board itself established in 1964. The Act provides for the depositing and preservation of publications, the setting up of an information referral service and library co-ordination and to provide for other related matters. The Act was passed in Parliament in September 2002 after the Committee on Social Services had incorporated the concerns of other stakeholders, the President accented to it in December 2002 and it was published in the Uganda gazette as Act No.2 of 2003[1]

To collect, preserve and disseminate Uganda’s documented intellectual and cultural heritage, provide professional leadership in library and information delivery and promote a reading culture.

Our Mandate

To Collect, Organize, Preserve and Disseminate Uganda's Documented Heritage and to oversee Local Governments and Communities in the establishment and management of Public and Community Libraries.

 

 

Library Services

National Library of Uganda offers the following library services: Circulation Services, Reference Services, Current Awareness Services, CT services

 

ISN Numbers

The National Library of Uganda has the power to allocate international numbers to publishers in Uganda as per the National Library of Uganda Act 2003.

 

Legal Desposits

The national library of Uganda has the mandate to enforce the legal deposit law.

Who we are

Kabale University Mukombe Library is located on Kikungiri Campus in the Southern Division of Kabale Municipality, Kabale District. The library serves the University Community and the Public.

Since its inception in 2001, the school has registered remarkable growth and development in terms of infrastructure and population. The school now has semi autonomous Nursery Section with a spacious environment for the pupils various activities.


The school in the last fifteen (15) years of its existence has rolled out Candidates with excellent grades to join secondary Education in competitive schools of learning such as Kings College Budo, Mt. St. Marys Namagunga, Uganda martyrs namugongo and St. Marys Kisubi among others which offer quality Education.


I thank the parents who have continuously entrusted us with their children over the past years. In our effort to offer more opportunity to more learners, yearning for quality Educational services. The school will remain focused to its Motto “we strive for Excellence”.

We are dedicated to providing a child-centered environment. Our early childhood care and education centers provide quality long day care, before, after school care and vacation care for children birth to 6 years.

 About SPENA

St. Peter’s Secondary School, Naalya is a secondary boarding school that was founded on Christian principles in 1994 in the inner suburbs of Kampala.

We are registered by the Ministry of Education under Centre No. U0896 and offer both O’level and A’level classes, awarding a UCE AND UACE Certificates of Education at time of completion.

OUR EXTRA CO-CURRICULARS
We offer a wide range of a sports, artistic and creative activities and career mentorship to help develop our students’ talents and interests. We pay tribute to our teachers who have the qualifications and experience to reach and maintain the academic expectations that we set for ourselves.

We hold an annual cultural day featuring music, dance and drama inter-house competitions. Games and sports include football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, you name it, we’ve got it.

Our dedicated staff members, along with Alumni groups work together to give students more flexibility in accessing various programs and courses that we offer.
